MISSION + VISION
Our vision is simple: To arise and reflect Jesus’ light for the world to see!
The world is a very dark and messy place and sometimes it can feel hopeless. But, the darker the night, the brighter the light shines. Let’s journey through the three verses below:
John 8:12 “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.”
We believe that Jesus is the light of the world and whoever follows Him will have the “light of life.” We also believe that we are called to be the light to this dark and depressing world. How can we do that? Not by following a set of “dos and don’ts”; but first by looking at Jesus and in doing so to be more like Jesus and finally to reflect His light and glory to the world.
This is what Arise at CWC is all about, Life and Light!

We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, relevant and applicable to our everyday lives.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory and empower us for life.
We believe that in order to receive forgiveness and the ‘new birth’ we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
We believe that in order to live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptized in water and be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to use spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues.
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the ‘breaking of bread’.
We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the Church and serve the community in which we live.
We believe that God wants to heal and transform us so that we can live healthy and blessed lives in order to help others more effectively.
We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised.

We are independent in our governance. However, we are highly connected relationally to many other local churches in our cities and across Asia.

An atmosphere of fun, love and truth! You can expect to meet some friendly people, experience a powerful time of worship and hear a message from the Bible delivered in an engaging way.

Yes, yes you can! It would be our honor to have you with us on a Sunday. Our team is pretty passionate about what we do and about doing it together, so don’t be surprised if somebody wants to help you get involved, but “no” or “maybe not yet” are perfectly acceptable answers.
